Kisumu County Career fair 2015
In Kenya, every year form four secondary school students make their career choices before sitting for their final K.C.S.E. The result of these final examinations determines who joins University and who takes which course.
Most of the students lack adequate information regarding various courses and where they are offered hence the choices that they make are embedded in their perception of the ideal job. The support they get from schools is little.
Kenya youth Hub (www.kenyayouthhub.org) will be hosting the 2nd Kisumu county career fair for secondary schools on 26th September at Kisumu boy’s high school. The event offers students in their last year in secondary schools an opportunity to interact and network with different institutions of higher learning as well as other education stakeholders. This is in a bid to help young people make informed career choices in line with their abilities and close consideration to the job market.
Colleges and Universities are offered an opportunity to exhibit, make presentations, network and appear on Kenya Youth Hub’s first career guide magazine for schools.
